Malesaoana Mohale has more than seven years of experience as a social worker and a sign language interpreter. Currently, Malesaoana is a social worker at Lesotho?s Department of Social Development under the Ministry of Gender and Youth, Sports, Arts, Culture, and Social Development, focusing on providing social work services to trainees with disabilities. She has worked at the Lesotho Correctional Service as a senior rehabilitation officer, providing guidance and counseling to inmates. She has also worked as a part-time lecturer and a sign language interpreter at the National University of Lesotho. She has volunteered as a sign language interpreter at Lesotho Television, the National Association of the Deaf Lesotho, and various churches. She has also volunteered as a social worker in two schools in Leribe district. Malesaoana holds master's and bachelor's degrees, both in Social Work. She is committed to bringing about social change in the lives of persons with disabilities. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Malesaoana plans to mentor youth with disabilities so that they can become active, accountable, and engaged citizens.
